This is not medical advice
Everything on glyceprimes.com is published for general information. We are researchers and writers, not physicians, dietitians or pharmacists. Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and nothing here should replace a conversation with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history.
Speak to a doctor first if any of these apply
- You are pregnant or nursing
- You are under 18
- You take prescription medication of any kind
- You have a diagnosed medical condition
- You take insulin, a sulfonylurea or any other glucose-lowering medication — the vendor's own FAQ warns that Gymnema can lower blood sugar and that combining it with medication without monitoring risks hypoglycaemia
- You have surgery scheduled
Dietary supplements are regulated differently
In the United States, dietary supplements are not subject to the pre-market approval process that applies to pharmaceutical drugs. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements for safety or effectiveness before they are sold. Any badge or claim suggesting a supplement is "FDA approved" is inaccurate — what a manufacturer can legitimately state is that a product is made in an FDA-registered facility, which is a statement about the premises, not about the product.
A supplement is not a treatment
This is a blood-sugar product, which means the people most drawn to it are the people most likely to be medicated. If you take insulin, a sulfonylurea, metformin or any other glucose-lowering drug, talk to whoever manages that prescription before you start — an additive effect here means a hypo, not a disappointment. The same goes if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have kidney or liver disease, or if you are booked for surgery. Do not stop or change a prescribed medication because of anything on this page or on the seller's.
Individual results vary
Response to any supplement depends on diet, genetics, existing health status, medication and consistency of use. Results described on this site are not guaranteed and may not be typical.
Never delay medical care
If you have a health concern, seek professional advice. Do not disregard or delay medical care because of something you read here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
